Hello there! I’m Joanna (you can call me Jo).

I am a chef, food stylist and R&D consultant for brands based in the Bay Area.

My story as a chef began simply as an experiment. To learn how to cook, for myself.

Being a classically trained cellist I had dedicated myself to express beauty through sound, as a way to connect with others. But after graduating University I learned my mom had been silently battling type 1 diabetes. This newfound knowledge changed me and changed the way I approach food. My interests have since transcended beyond the expression of Beauty through sound into a Philosophy of healing through food.

I believe recipes should not only be alluring to the senses but also, nourishing and healing for your Soul. My cooking style is deeply influenced by my explorative nature. I relish in exploring diverse flavors from my travels and experiment with different techniques to craft food that has both depth of flavor and textural variety in every bite!

With over 15 years of experience in Food & Beverage, I am honored to compose Living Masterpieces alongside people who want to share their Gifts and create with something I call “structured freedom”.
